I couldn't get it to work though - I tried it as a female solider and the only thing I did different compared to the normal way of creating a Super Jedi, was pressing "Y" for the Attributes, Skills and Feats, each time... When I got to Taris, I only had 257 skill points to use.

Is there something else I should be doing? (other than pressing 'Y' for Attributes, Skills and Feats)

Do I need to play as a male solider?

NOTE: WAIT - I think I may have made a mistake, since I've been using the skill points when creating my character. I'll try again and post if it works out this time. :)

Yup, the problem was using the skills at the begining of the game. :)
